Maria Camila

Maria Camila earned her law degree in Colombia in 2018. Early in her career, she worked as a lawyer for the city of Bogota.

Maria joined Schallert PC shortly after the firm was founded, becoming its first employee and supporting the firm with a wide range of responsibilities. Over time, she has expanded her role and has become a hearing representative.

In her current position, Maria assists attorneys with case management, including reviewing medical records, maintaining communications with client regarding case development and supporting litigation strategy. She has developed expertise in lien analysis, attending lien conferences, and assisting with lien resolution matters on behalf of the firm's clients.

Maria is working towards earning her LL.M. degree and becoming licensed to practice law in California. She is passionate about continuing to develop her knowledge of California workers' compensation as she pursues that goal.

Outside the office, Maria Camila enjoys spending time with her two puppies, swimming, and watching movies the old-fashioned way, at the movie theater.
